We will have a short course on Tuesday, September 29th and a dinner with a speaker that evening. Wednesday, September 30th will include breakfast, speakers for a morning session, and golf at Pryor Creek Golf Club.

Flood Protection in PRB Coal Mining (4 PDH)

This working session will describe the history of pit flooding, the process of developing a flood protection plan, implementation of the plan, and present the methods and tools used to predict the runoff from the design storm event. The focus of this presentation will be on the tools and methods used for hydrologic analysis. End goal is to protect personnel and equipment under flood conditions.
